Our marriage - some info in English...

You've probably already heard about it: we're getting married on Saturday 19th of July 2014! Not in Belgium, but in the picturesque village of Saint-Jean-de-Côle (Dordogne, France).

Afterwards, we will have a thank celebration with reception in Belgium, on Sunday 3rd of August.

Here below you'll find some brief info about our wedding.

Saturday 19th of July 2014 - our wedding

- 3 pm: wedding celebration (village church)

- Immediately after the wedding ceremony: wedding reception (village square)

- Dinner and feast (marquee on field in Saint-Jean-de-Côle)

Sunday 20th of July 2014 - the feast-that-continues-informally

Since we all will be in the surroundings of Saint-Jean-de-Côle, we would love to continue celebrating with those who are still in the neighborhood. This part of the weekend will be very informal. The idea is really of "being with friends" and everyone who comes is supposed to give us a hand :-) (for example, with preparing before and cleanup after the barbecue).

- Afternoon: joint activities (will be more detailed later)

- Evening: barbecue (+ campfire)

Practical information

How to get there?

The village "Saint-Jean-de-Côle" is situated in the "Périgord Vert", one of the regions in the departement of "Dordogne" in South West France. The distance from Belgium is about 770 km.

There are several options to get there:

- by car (from Belgium): it takes about 10 hours to complete the journey comfortably. The directions to follow are Paris, Orléans, Vierzon, Châteauroux, Limoges, Thiviers, Saint-Jean-de-Côle. If you want to sleepover halfway, we'd recommend you to find a hotel in Orléans, which is about halfway.

- by train: take a high-speed train (TGV) to Bordeaux or Angoulème. In both cases, you can continue your journey (about 2 hours) with a rented car. If you prefer not to rent a car, you can also take a (non-high-speed) train to Thiviers, and ask a friend to pick you up (you can use our online platform to find people).

- by plane: fly on Bordeaux, Bergerac or Brive-la-Guillarde. From the airport of Bordeaux, Bergerac or Brive, you can continue your journey with a rented car.

Where to stay?

All kinds of accommodation can be found

- Rooms: some suggestions on the following link.

- Back to basics? For those who feel like sleeping in a tent, there will be a meadow where you can pitch your tent (with basic toilet and water supply).
